Kelly Purkey June Shop Update

Kelly Purkey June Shop Update | Nicole Reaves

Happy Friday, all! I'm finally off the high of end-of-the-school-year activities plus birthdays and Week in the Life-ing, and now we are adjusting and enjoying the beginning of summer break. As I anticipated, my 'me time' has disappeared. Which means not much making, or writing, but I hope to find it again soon. Or make some. Note to self : re-read The Fringe Hours.

Today, Kelly Purkey has some awesome new goodies in her shop - something for everyone in my opinion! First up is the Shutterbug kit, complete with 20 journaling cards, a versatile 4x6 stamp set, a small sheet of labels and 2 cute badges.

While cleaning up my scrap space this week, I found a little baggie of 3" Instagram photos from 2013. Two years ago!? I remember making an IG mini book that year, so these must have been the leftovers. As I flipped through them, I began laying them out in a grid and bam, a layout was born.

I added pop dots to lift every other photo to give the layout a little more depth. Then I used some of the small phrases from the stamp set with this black ink on vellum and tiny attached them to a few photos. I wanted so badly to use the pink cards and badge on this layout but they didn't fit color-wise, so I've set them aside for my next Project Life layout I plan to work on next week. I added some stamping to a grid card in the kit + wrote a bit about my favorite social media platform before adhering it within the grid.

Kelly has also added four new stamp sets today, including a fun new alpha and an awesome set for all of you who love to send happy mail. I can't wait to play with those + share a couple more projects this month! If you haven't already, remember to sign up for Kelly's newsletter to get the latest news on her shop updates, classes and often, a discount code. Check out the right sidebar on her blog to sign up.

Have a great weekend! I'll try not to be such a stranger. I feel like I need to delete all of the random drafts I've started and try to write a big brain dump post to catch you up.
