Although I considered myself 'done' with my Week in the Life pages from June, I was stumped on what to do with a closing page. Opening pages are easy for me. But that last page - not so much. I fit my daily spreads in my Project Life album this year (you can read more about how I set it up here), but I needed something on a Design A page to transition back to my bi-weekly spreads.
As I flipped through the leftover journaling cards I had set aside for this project, I came upon one from Ali's Gatherings Story Kit, "Gathered Thoughts On Life Right Now." Seemed like a good base to build on and create a quick highlights page from the week. I had several leftover photos that didn't fit in my daily spreads, so I used those here.
And while I had intended on using those chipboard numbers 1-7 (I used Ali's kit from last year) for each day, I ended up not having room for them. With 8 pockets, minus one title card, I decided to use them to label each photo to correspond with my numbered list on the journaling card. Here's the full page :
I painted the numbers white and cut down some white cardstock for the 4x6 pockets. For those larger cards, I adhered my 3x4 photo to the left side and I think the end result makes it look a little like a page full of 3x4 cards. I added a number to each photo along with a stamped word or phrase from some of my favorite Clearly Kelly sets.
This ended up being a crazy easy glance at our life that week. I'm still debating if / how I want to share my completed pages here. Any opinions? Perhaps a post on how it came together, my favorite bits and pieces, and a walkthrough video?
